We are still a zoo loving family. Mason had really enjoyed discovering different animals and both kids love being outside. I guess it is worth the 100+ degree temperature to keep them busy and they don't seem to mind it.
We also really enjoy hanging out in our backyard. I sure love these two boys.
Maya got to bring curious george home from school for a whole week. She was so darling with him. He went everywhere with us and slept in her bed with her. She loved it.
Mason now sleeps in a big boy bed and is sleeping a little more soundly--at least we dare sneak in his room to take a picture of him now. He has really loved this stuffed witch and sleeps with her every night. Maya, on the other hand, is scared of the witch and prays every night that there won't be any black witches under her bed. :) It is funny because when she was Mason's age she loved the witch too.
Mason and his witch. He always looks so serious when we lay him down at night, but he doesn't try to get out of bed luckily.
The Christian girls all came down in October for a girls weekend. It was so fun. We spent our time shopping, getting a pedicure and massage, eating out, going to a movie and playing games. Brett was great to take the kids the whole time and we all had a great time.
Mason has really started enjoying books. He has a few next to his bed that he likes to read over and over.
"Does anyone see a problem with this?" Mason does really like books and he also likes to choose out his own, which means that generally the floor looks like this in front of the bookshelf.
Maya loves to sit right next to Brett at dinner. She is glued to him from the minute he comes home from work. They have a lot of fun together.
Mason likes to show us where all of his food goes and opens up his mouth really wide then throws back his head and laughs. It is pretty cute.
A couple of Saturday's ago the weather was really nice so we decided to hike Pinnacle Peak. It was fun to be out and enjoy the cool morning.
Maya kept getting tired and needed breaks in the shade, which was fine with me because I was happy to sit down for a few minutes.
