Lake Powell with the Israelsen's
In September we went to Lake Powell with my family and had a wonderful time. Beach trips are definitely the way to go when you have little kids because they can, and do, play all day on the beach. It was fun to see some of my sisters and their families and my dad. Unfortunately with us spread all across the country not everyone was able to make it. Maya had a great time digging in the sand with Lucy and trying to catch lizards with Sawyer and Charlie. Mason and Gus puttered around the beach all day building and smashing sand castles. It was great. Thanks to my dad for making it all possible. (he rented the houseboat, boat and jet ski's)

Maya has discovered that she loves hiking. The red rock is great to climb on because your shoes stick to it. She scampered up the hills and had a lot of fun.
Mason loves to pretend to squirt people with his squirt gun. Luckily he hasn't really figured out how to work it...next year I am sure we won't be so lucky.
Mason liked to perch himself on this bucket and watch everyone running around. It was great because we had the beach totally to ourselves, so we had plenty of room to spread out.
Brett and Brad were also able to squeeze in two slot canyon hikes, which was a highlight for them.

I hope that wasn't the Black Hole. If it was I would be very upset you cheated on me. Love the blog and the news about your little fam. Let me know next time you visit Josh.
