Halloween

We had a great Halloween. Maya ended up dressing up for 4 different occasions and loved every time. She was a princess twice and a witch twice. Brett and I went as a bunch of grapes and Mason was a pumpkin. Maya was totally die hard on Halloween night. We figured that we would go to a few houses on our lane and call it a night, but she was having such a great time that she didn't want to go home. She accidentally wet her pants on one doorstep, so we had to go home and change, but she wanted to go back out and finish the street. Luckily the people weren't actually home when she left a puddle on their porch. They had left their bowl of candy at the door step. So, I guess that was our trick for them not being there to give us a treat. :) We started out at about 6:30 and finished around 8:15. It was a fun night and our little witch was very pleased with her loot. Mason was a good sport but eventually gave up and went to sleep.

Maya the witch (with wings). Maya decided that she wanted to be a good witch, not a bad witch, so she added wings to her costume. She also had sparkle make-up all over her face and was loving it. She kept telling us to look at the sparkles on her "eye ball lids".

Maya kept trying not to lick her lips because she didn't want to rub off her lipstick. So, when her mouth would fill up with spit she would suck it down between her teeth. She was so serious about her make-up. It was kind of funny.

Maya enjoyed the fruits of her labors when we got home from trick-or-treating. I think that one of her favorites are dum dum suckers. (which is totally fine with Brett and I because then we can eat her candy bars).
