Spring Fever!! We have really been enjoying the return of nice weather. Last weekend we joined our neighborhood in a yardsale. I don't know if it is fortunate or unfortunate, but we didn't have that much to sell, just a few odds and ends, but we did make $20.00. We decided to splurge that night and go out to dinner. We went to a fun restaraunt call Z-Mex and really liked it. Maya loved sitting at the table with us and seemed so old to me as she busily picked through what she wanted to eat. She is really growning up and is so interactive. She understands a lot and is starting to say a few words. Some of her favorites are: bubbles, tickle, bye bye, night night, baby, and nose. Although she can say "ma ma" and "da da" and will do it if we ask her to, she never does it voluntarily. Yet again, a sign of her independent little personality maybe. She also can say the sounds for elephant, fish, dog and bird. She has recently been interested in trying to mimic what we are saying and will try to say other things that we repeat to her. Needless to say we are so proud of her and often have her "perform" for others. It is amazing how much satisfaction we find in seeing her make her fishy face.
We decided it was probably time to rotate our water storage and rolled out the big blue tank onto the driveway to drain. Maya was a little afraid of it at first, but once we left her to explore, she quickly found out how much fun the water was and that she could actually drink it. She had a great time.
Obviously someone in this house talkes on the phone a lot because Maya loves to carry the phone around with her, pretending to talk on it. She also has been pushing her baby in her stroller and enjoying playing with friends.
We are really enjoying life together and feel very blessed for the many things we have. We hope you are all doing well and love to hear how things are going with you. Have a wonderful week.

Love, The Christians
