Our DC TripMaya with her "dino-horse". She discoverd this in the back yard of the house we stayed at in DC and loved carrying it around. She was certain it was called a dinohorse and not a dinosaur. We went to the Museum of Natural History and saw all sorts of dino-horse bones. Maya was fascinated.

The dino-horse even got his teeth brushed at night. He really became part of the family.

Brett, Maya and I went to the DC zoo one morning with my cousin Amy and her kids. We had a great time together. Brett carried Amy's little boy in the backpack. We thought it would probably be good practice for when our own little boy comes in February.

Maya enjoyed apple picking at a nearby farm. She was pretty good at getting the apples off the tree and then spent the rest of the time moving them between the bags. She was also fascinated with the rotten apples on the ground because there were bees eating them. Luckily she kept a safe distance.
